Editorial Policy

ForexArc publishes forex and CFD broker reviews, comparisons, and research to help readers understand their trading options.

Our editorial approach focuses on accuracy, transparency, and practical information. We aim to explain how brokers differ, what their services cost, and which limitations readers should consider before opening an account.

This policy explains how we research, write, review and update the content published on ForexArc.

Our Editorial Principles

We follow several principles when preparing our content:

  • Accuracy: We aim to verify important factual information using reliable sources.
  • Transparency: We distinguish broker-advertised information from independent findings and firsthand experience.
  • Fair comparisons: We compare relevant account conditions rather than relying on promotional claims.
  • Editorial independence: Commercial relationships should not determine our factual conclusions or editorial ratings.
  • Accountability: We aim to correct material errors when they are identified.

We do not claim that our research covers every forex broker, account type, or trading condition.

Our goal is to provide useful information that readers can evaluate alongside their own requirements.

How We Research Forex Brokers

Our research begins with information provided by the broker and its relevant legal entities.

We examine official account documentation, pricing schedules, platform availability, funding policies and regulatory disclosures.

Where appropriate, we cross-check information using regulatory registers, legal documents and independent sources.

We pay particular attention to the specific legal entity providing the trading account.

A broker may operate through several companies in different jurisdictions. Regulation, leverage, client protections and account eligibility can vary between those companies.

We therefore avoid presenting regulatory arrangements from one entity as though they automatically apply to every customer.

Evidence and the Limits of Broker Research

Firsthand experience can provide useful information about how a broker’s services work in practice.

Our reviews distinguish broker-published information, regulatory and independent sources, and clearly identified firsthand experience.

Specific claims about personal trading, deposits or withdrawals require supporting records before publication.

However, personal experience has limitations.

A successful withdrawal does not guarantee that every future withdrawal will be processed in the same way. Similarly, an individual trade does not establish a broker’s typical execution speed or average spread.

We do not claim to have independently measured trading performance unless we have sufficient supporting evidence.

When information comes from broker documentation and has not been confirmed elsewhere, we say so.

How We Evaluate Trading Costs

Trading costs are an important part of our broker research.

We examine advertised spreads, commissions, overnight financing, and other relevant fees.

We distinguish between starting spreads and average spreads where reliable information is available.

For commission-based accounts, we consider both the spread and the commission charged for opening and closing a position.

We also check whether published pricing applies to a specific account, platform, currency, or legal entity.

We do not automatically describe a broker as cheaper because it advertises spreads from 0.0 pips or has a lower commission.

When comparable real-world data is unavailable, we explain that limitation rather than declaring a winner.

How ForexArc Ratings Work

ForexArc uses editorial ratings on a five-point scale.

We consider the following areas when assigning an editorial rating:

  • Regulation and client protection.
  • Trading fees and spreads.
  • Trading platforms.
  • Account types and funding conditions.
  • The quality of available evidence, including clearly identified firsthand experience.

Each rating represents an editorial assessment of the broker offering reviewed.

Our ratings are not calculated from Trustpilot scores or other customer-review averages.

Ratings are shown only when explicitly approved for publication. They are editorial assessments, not mathematical averages of category or customer-review scores.

A higher rating does not guarantee that a broker is safer, less expensive, or suitable for every trader.

Readers should consider the full review, applicable account conditions, and regulatory entity rather than relying on a numerical score alone.

For a detailed explanation of our research, read How We Review Forex Brokers.

How We Create Broker Comparisons and Shortlists

Our comparison articles examine the differences between specific brokers and account offerings.

We compare trading costs, platforms, regulation, deposit requirements, and other relevant conditions.

Where the available evidence supports a difference, we explain it. Where the evidence is insufficient to identify a clear advantage, we say so.

Our broker shortlists reflect the brokers we’ve researched and selected for the relevant topic.

They are not necessarily comprehensive rankings of the entire forex brokerage market.

We do not assign a universal best broker solely on the basis of an advertised spread, commission, or editorial rating.

Editorial Independence and Affiliate Relationships

ForexArc may receive compensation when readers open accounts or complete qualifying actions through certain broker links.

These partnerships help support the website.

We aim to keep commercial relationships separate from editorial judgments.

Affiliate payments do not determine the numerical ratings we assign to brokers.

Our reviews should explain relevant strengths and limitations, regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship with a broker.

We also distinguish our editorial content from promotional material and do not present paid commercial claims as independently verified findings.

For more details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

How We Update Our Content

Forex broker information can change over time.

Brokers may update their trading fees, account requirements, platforms, regulatory arrangements or deposit and withdrawal policies.

We revisit relevant information when preparing new articles, updating comparisons or identifying material changes.

Where available, we maintain verification records to support our research.

An article’s publication or update date should reflect genuine editorial activity, not an automatic change intended to make older content appear current.

We may also reassess an editorial rating when new evidence or significant changes justify doing so.

Although we aim to keep information accurate, we cannot guarantee that every broker detail will remain current at all times.

Readers should confirm important conditions with the broker before opening an account.

Corrections and Reader Feedback

Accuracy is important to ForexArc.

If we discover a material factual error, we aim to investigate it and make an appropriate correction.

This may involve checking official documentation, reviewing regulatory information, or revisiting the original research.

We also welcome reader feedback about outdated information, factual inaccuracies, or unclear statements.

A correction should address the underlying issue rather than simply changing wording to make a broker appear more favorable.

For questions, report an error or request a correction through our official contact page.

Financial Information and Trading Risk

ForexArc provides general information about forex and CFD brokers.

Our content is not personalized financial, investment, or legal advice.

Broker reviews, comparisons and editorial ratings are not guarantees of safety, profitability or trading performance.

Forex and CFD trading carries substantial risk. Leverage can magnify losses, and these products may not be suitable for every trader.

Readers should understand the risks and check the applicable broker terms before making a decision.

Our Commitment to Readers

We want ForexArc to be a useful and transparent source of broker information.

That means explaining how our reviews are prepared, recognizing the limits of our research and making meaningful distinctions between broker claims and firsthand observations.

We aim to improve our content as new evidence becomes available and to be clear when information cannot be independently confirmed.
